“It’s UnpOppable!”

It’s always an absolute delight when children respond to a book in a creative way. Receiving letters and drawings online or through the post is definitely one of the perks of the job. So you can imagine my excitement when Tal’s mum Amy sent me a link to a video they had made during lockdown based on my book UnpOppable.

Having watched the film and told Amy, Tim, Tal and Lyra how impressed I was, another email from Amy landed in my inbox. I opened the attachment to find a stunning storyboard (below) created by Tal, who is five years old, outlining his ideas for the film. It’s a superb piece of work and I couldn’t help thinking what a wonderful project this would be to have running in school in normal times.
